  • ABSTRACT We present the results of an explicit and systematic calculation of non- perturbative interactions, induced by single eigenvalue instantons, in d= 1 bosonic matrix models and corresponding string effective Lagrangians. We briefly discuss the possibility that similar non-perturbative induced operators in a supersymmetric version of the theory may break supersymmetry dynamically.
