  • Abstract: Three-dimensional direct numerical simulations (DNS) of a finite thickness reaction wave propagation in forced, homogeneous, isotropic, and incompressible turbulence for the first-order chemical reactions have been performed to validate the theoretically predicted effect of chemical reactions on turbulent diffusion. We show that the DNS data agree with the theory at least qualitatively.
