  • Amiodarone is commonly used in different arrhythmias (1), but causes adverse effects in up to 55.3% of patients receiving this drug (2). Hepatotoxicity is a known but uncommon complication of amiodarone treatment (3-5). We report a fatal case of severe hepatic failure due to prolonged amiodarone treatment.
