B. ROZENFELD and SR ROTMAN The defect luminescence at approximately 300 nm of yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) is considered. The temperature and temporal behavior of the luminescence is consistent with a single oxygen vacancy defect with luminescence occurring from several levels. 1.
