- Results: Following incubation of human and rat CM to OSA and non-OSA serum, H&E staining demonstarted significant widening and CM curving. Longer duration of contraction and relexation was noted (30+/-8.8%)/XTT and Trypan blue uncovered that exposure to OSA doubles the anount of dead cells. NFKB subnits expression was higher in CM exposed to OSA sera. Those CM showed incresed staining of the cells nuclei. Coclusions: Functional, morphological and chemical changes coupled with NFKB pathway induction are observed in CM exposed to OSA sera. NFKB pathway blockade may serve as a novel intervention that may alter cardiovascular mortality in OSA.
