  • ABSTRACT In the present research work, residual stress distribution in spot welded Ti6Al4V disks was measured by the X-ray diffraction method. Disks of three thicknesses, 6.5, 8.5 and 10.5 mm were welded using several currents. The results were also compared to those obtained by the Hole-Drilling (HD) method, and by numerical simulations.
