  • Neurogenesis deficit is accounted both for a poor task performance and mood disorders. NR2B subunit-specific antagonist Ro 25-6981 with neurogenic properties [1] has immediate effects on learning and memory, fear and anxiety in models of psychic illnesses. Effects of this substance are also depend on the time of administration and the animal's ability to learn [2]. The purpose of the study was to investigate delayed effects of single low-dose Ro 25- 6981 administration on repeated spatial learning and anxiety in adult rats. Spatial learning and memory were evaluated in hidden version of Morris water maze in adult male Wistar rats (n= 12) before the drug treatment ('initial learning', on days 1− 4) and after that ('repeated learning', on days 16− 19).
