  • This is a rather unusual book – one sharply focused on the question of urban location, and developing into a treatise on understanding urban clustering, with plenty of related con- cepts and tools as well as having the ultimate objective of helping decision-makers to develop policies and strategies to enhance the potential of urban growth. From initial prom- ising results in Israel, an empirical test is extended to Norway and New South Wales, Australia. The book is divided into five parts, containing twenty chapters in all, with an abundance of diagrams and illustrat- ive materials.
