  • The main goal of this communication is to review our recent experimental studies of turbulent transport of inertial particles and formation of largescale structures in spatial distribution of particles. In particularly, we discuss a new phenomenon of turbulent thermal diffusion which has been predicted theoretically in [1]. The essence of this phenomenon is the appearance of a nondiffusive mean flux of particles in the direction of the mean heat flux.
